All members that will be attending Union meetings are asked to bring their Union Card to sign in before being admitted to the Union meeting. This policy took effect beginning with the April 1, 2008 meeting. Again, do not forget your Union Card if you plan on attending Union meetings.
ATTENTION BAC MEMBERS
If you are working outside of the BAC Local 2 jurisdiction area where you have traditionally worked and paid into your Health and Welfare as well as Pension, you must sign a RECIPROCITY FORM to have your Health and Pension benefits sent back to your home fringe benefit funds.
You must sign a Reciprocity Form for each area you work.
There has been some confusion recently that needs clarification. If you are a cement mason of either BAC Local 2 of Michigan or Operative Plasters Local 514, you share the same benefits with respect to the Cement Masons' Pension Trust Fund - Detroit and Vicinity, the Cement Masons' Vacation and Holiday Fund - Detroit and Vicinity and BAC Trowel Trades International Pension Fund.
The BAC International Union has combined BAC Local 1 and BAC 9 into the newly chartered BAC Local 2 of Michigan. The new Local will cover the entire State of Michigan and all of the BAC crafts – Brick, Refractory, Tile, Marble Terrazzo, Pointers, Cleaner, Caulkers, Cement, Stone Masons and Plasterers.
